The medical center was recognized for its long-standing participation in the yearly running event, which benefits the American Lung Association.

“The medical center has always had a strong presence in this event and have fielded a team for all 29 Corporate Cup runs,” said Rick Pruch of the Center for Healthy Living, who has helped organize the medical center’s Corporate Cup team for the past several years.

The Omaha Corporate Cup is one of the premier running events in the nation and among the largest of corporate road races in the United States. The event aims to help fight lung disease, which is the third leading cause of death in the United States. More than 200,000 Nebraskans suffer from some form of lung disease.

Others recently inducted into the Hall of Fame include the City of Omaha and Erin Sullivan, a dedicated Corporate Cup participant and volunteer.
