United Way 2011 – The 3:33 report, Day 11

Our guess is that most of you who read this already have participated in the 2011 United Way drive.

What would it be like if 33 percent applied to other parts of campus life? Check out the video to see.
If that is the case for you, we need your help. We’d like you to apply a little peer pressure to your coworkers who have yet to participate.

Encourage, taunt and/or pester them until they open that reminder email they received Monday, follow the simple instructions and participate!

Remind them that:

  • Participation doesn’t equate to donation (although the United Way would gladly accept their money); and
  • Participation makes them eligible to win some pretty awesome prizes.

We want to top our monetary goal of $145,000 and as of Monday at 3:33 p.m., we were at $127,179. We also aim to increase our participation percentage.

For the past several years, we have averaged just 33 percent participation, a mark we reached Monday. We’d like to go much higher than 33 percent this year.

Finally, if you’re one who hasn’t participated, what are you waiting for?
