LiveGreen Scene: The ‘Energy Doctor’ and tips to save energy, money

From cracks around window panes to poor insulation, most buildings, including our homes, have a variety of easily remedied issues that waste energy and money.

An “Energy Doctor” will prescribe solutions to help us save energy and money at home and at work during the next LiveGreen Scene.
Learn about these and more at the next LiveGreen Scene on Thursday as an “Energy Doctor” talks about issues related to home and work and gives tips that are good for the planet and our pocketbooks.

You will be able to ask questions that can help you save energy and money and be more comfortable at home and work.

When: Thursday, Feb. 16 at Noon. LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED FOR THE FIRST 50 IN ATTENDANCE.

Who: “The Energy Doctor” is Daniel Lawse of the Verdis Group — an environmental consultant group that helps UNMC with its sustainability effort.

Where: Durham Research Center Auditorium

What: LiveGreen Scene is a three-part Learn@Lunch series that explores a range of environmental issues that confront us all at home and in the workplace. This the second session in the series.

Next session: The third part of the LiveGreen Scene series will be held on Thursday, March 22 and focus “Carbon Footprints.”
