Dr. Mack collects medical equipment for Indian school

Lynn Mack, M.D., would like to collect old stethoscopes and non-mercury containing blood pressure measuring devices to donate to the Men-Tsee-Khang, a medical school in Dharmasala, India, that is sponsored by the Dalai Lama.

Lynn Mack, M.D., is collecting stethoscopes and non-mercury containing blood pressure measuring devices to donate to a medical school in Dharamsala, India.
Dr. Mack, associate professor of internal medicine, will travel this spring to the medical school, which provides care to Tibetan refugees in Dharamsala.

She will study at the Men-Tsee-Khang to learn about Tibetan Medicine techniques that she would like to implement for patient care at the diabetes center at UNMC.

Men-Tsee-Khang officials ask visiting professors to bring used stethoscopes and blood pressure measuring devices to be used at the school.
