  • No. of years at UNMC: 20

What is your best memory from your time at UNMC?

When I was elected president of the faculty senate in 1998. This experience gave me many opportunities to learn more about and be a part of the campus and the NU system.

Our four brand values are leadership, commitment to excellence, working together and being a trusted resource. Pick one and tell us a time you witnessed it embodied at UNMC.

I would have to say working together. Even before the campus had “brand values,” I found this out when UNMC went through its North Central Accreditation in 2007. There were so many people from across the campus that made this long process a success.

List three things people may not know about you.

  • One of my guilty pleasures are the trashy “creature feature” made-for-TV movies on the SyFy network.
  • I volunteer at the Sundance Film Festival.
  • I am a men’s college basketball and women’s college volleyball junkie. Last December, I was thrilled to meet Destinee Hooker at the Final Four!
