What is your best memory from your time at UNMC?

Within a month of starting at UNMC, the newly formed Omaha Student Services team traveled to each of the CON campus sites (Lincoln, Norfolk, Kearney and Scottsbluff). It was an opportunity to meet our counterparts and to learn about the unique qualities of each of the other locations. This trip was a great way to start my UNMC career and to understand the impact that CON has throughout the state.

Our four brand values are leadership, commitment to excellence, working together and being a trusted resource. Pick one and tell us a time you witnessed it embodied at UNMC.

Both leadership and excellence are demonstrated at the College of Nursing continuously — in the classroom by utilizing cutting-edge technology and curriculum, through the active research and practice of faculty that affects health care outcomes, and through our connections at the state, national and international level to be at the forefront of health care reform. This makes working for the College of Nursing a rich environment.

List three things people may not know about you.

  • I’ve biked down a volcano.
  • I love musicals.
  • I love water sports of all kinds and was a synchronized swimmer.

    Rolee,
Don't know if you remember me going back to the late 70s at the YWCA.
I'm retired now, but serve on two IRBs for UNMC, so I continue to stay pretty connected with people and things going on there. Hope you are doing well. I'd love to hear from you when you have a chance.
