Step rankings, Blue T-shirt and jean team

The Mandeville Movers have taken a firm grip on the UNMC Walks to the Olympics Challenge. The Movers get to wear jeans for a second week in a row after they notched 1,859,917 steps to lead all teams for the weeks.

Schneider steps up

The Movers benefited greatly from the efforts of Marlene Schneider of the UNMC Faculty Employee Assistance Program, who racked up 290,000 steps last week to take home the Blue T-shirt.

Because of the holiday, we weren’t able to touch base with Schneider to see how she got all those steps. That said, knowing Schneider, we suspect golf was involved.

An oversight

It also should be noted that during a previous week, Schneider walked more than 257,000 steps but because of an editor’s oversight, she was not awarded that week’s Blue T-shirt.
