As of 3 p.m. on Tuesday, $130,053 had been raised and participation was at 35 percent for UNMC’s 2012 United Way fund drive.

We’re two days from the end of the drive, and while it shouldn’t take magic to reach our monetary goal and raise our participation above last year’s rate of 41 percent, we’re not afraid to go there.

Come on now, even “He Who Must Not Be Named” participated. He wants to win some Husker tickets. He hasn’t been to Memorial Stadium since the 2009 Nebraska-Iowa State game. (Although some claimed to have seen him at the stadium during the first half of Saturday’s game against Wisconsin.)
