Flu Vaccine Clinics
The Operation Immunization Clinic will run September 15 through September 26 to accommodate the flu vaccination needs of UNMC students, faculty, staff and administration. The clinic will be held at the UNMC Center for Drug Discovery and Lozier Center for Pharmacy (PDD building) in the Simulation Exam Suites (1099F). The Operation Immunization Clinic is a partnership between UNMC Student Health Administration and the Nebraska Medicine Student Health Clinic.
- Flu Vaccination is required for ALL UNMC College of Nursing Students.
- All UNMC Students are required to confirm flu vaccination or vaccine declination using the processes established by the University of Nebraska Medical Center (see the Complete the Influenza Vaccination Documentation heading below).
Sign Up for a Flu Shot
Reserve your flu shot by booking an appointment. Flu shots are free and open to all on-campus UNMC Omaha students, faculty, staff and administration.

Remember to bring your UNMC ID badge to your flu shot appointment.
Complete the Influenza Vaccination Documentation
All UNMC Students are required to participate in UNMC-related monitoring of flu vaccination by confirming vaccination or declination using the electronic monitoring processes established by the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Report your vaccination status.
Information for Online-Only Students
If you take classes online only, you do not need to submit vaccine information. Vaccine information is required for ALL College of Nursing students.
Information for Non-Omaha Students
Please contact your campus for vaccine clinic dates. If you have already completed your flu vaccine please be sure to update this information through the Health Tracking System.

Yearly Tuberculosis Screening
- All students must provide documentation of tuberculosis screening on a yearly basis.
- Students in Categories 1 and 2 who have NEVER Tested Positive must complete a Tuberculosis (TB) Symptom Review Form (self-review).
- Students in Categories 3 and 4 who HAVE Tested Positive must complete a Tuberculosis (TB) Annual Review of Symptoms Form (to be used with physician) with the Student Health Provider.
- Students going on rotations or completing clinical requirements will need to follow the procedures and policies of the clinical site. If updated TB screening is needed these can be completed through Student Health and billed to the student major medical insurance policy.
