Peer Academic Consultants
The Office of Academic Success is hiring Supplemental Instruction Leaders to serve as Peer Academic Consultants. Consultants assist students in reaching their academic goals by helping them identify, utilize, and tailor resources to achieve success.
All consultants are provided with the training and tools to navigate their consultations. Consultation dates and times are flexible according to the Leader's schedule. Sessions may be held on campus or remote via Zoom. Consultations on campus require room reservations and must adhere to current UNMC COVID-19 campus guidance, safety guidelines and mandates.
Consultants are paid $15/hr.
Position Requirements
- Current UNMC student who is enrolled at least part-time in their program.
- Successfully completed their first academic year in their UNMC program.
- Maintains a GPA of 3.3 or higher.
- Desire to assist UNMC students in identifying and utilizing the self-directed learning resources and tools, to promote students’ academic success and wellbeing.
- Willingness to serve and assist UNMC students from all colleges and programs.
- Federal Work Study eligible, preferred.
