Branded templates. Media training. Headshots.

These are three of the free services offered by the UNMC Department of Strategic Communications to help promote the people, programs and work being done across UNMC’s campuses. As the UNMC community’s first stop for marketing and communications needs, the department also offers some fee-based services, as well as maintains a list of preferred vendors for work it cannot take on.

Overall, the department’s services span media relations, events, print design, photography, videography, social media, writing and web design. The team’s responsibilities range from highlighting UNMC on social media to managing the brand to pitching experts to local and national media.

“Our department is excited to be a partner with campus units and organizations in achieving their goals through strategic, effective communication,” said Bill O’Neill, executive director of strategic communications. “This involves not only telling the multitude of terrific stories that UNMC has to share, but appropriately amplifying those messages through a broad array of channels, all while positively reflecting the UNMC brand.”
