The Thanksgiving holiday will look different as families choose not to gather amid rising cases of COVID-19. For that reason, UNMC leaders on Friday invited all UNMC students to a casual Zoom “Gratitude Get-Together” on Thanksgiving Day.
Students were emailed the Zoom link and invitation on Friday.
The session will be moderated by Juliann Sebastian, PhD, dean of the College of Nursing; Dele Davies, MD, senior vice chancellor for academic affairs and dean for graduate studies; Sheritta Strong, MD, director of inclusion; Steven Wengel, MD, assistant vice chancellor for campus wellness; and Terri Vadovski, director of Graduate Administrative Services.
Students can expect a few jokes, a game or online activity and a light-hearted, laughter-filled hour.
