Weekly e-Tip – No. 7

ITS will provide weekly e-Tips to help employees prepare for the new Outlook email system.

This week’s e-Tip – Convert to PDF options not available

If you don’t see the PDF options from the “Actions” menu, it could be one of several things:

  • You are using only Notes web — You must use Lotus Notes Client to convert to PDF.
  • You have Adobe Reader — You must have Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 or later installed.
  • You have a Mac — You need a PC to convert to PDF.

If none of these scenarios are what you are experiencing and you still don’t see those options, it could be that Adobe Acrobat was installed before Lotus Notes.

In order to see these “Convert to PDF” options, Acrobat should be installed after Lotus Notes. This may require re-installing Adobe Acrobat. If the options are still not available after doing that, you should contact the ITS Helpdesk to arrange a workstation support person to assist.
