Weekly e-Tip No. 23 – The end of Lotus approaches

The Lotus Notes email will go away June 1.

If you haven’t already done so, make sure essential messages that you want to keep have been saved.

You can forward Lotus Notes messages to yourself using your email address @unmc.edu and they will then sent to Outlook.

From Outlook you can click and drag messages onto your network drive/computer folders for safe keeping before deleting from Outlook. You also can:

  • Convert Lotus Notes messages to PDF (requires Adobe Acrobat $66 -not Adobe Reader);
  • Use the Notes Export Tool (no charge); and
  • Contract to have ITS convert ($125/per gigabyte and requires departmental approval).

See more information about these options online.
