What are Internal Microcredentials?
An internal microcredential is a short, focused learning experience that allows learners to demonstrate mastery of a specific skill. The target audience is internal users, such as UNMC students, faculty and/or staff.
When completed, learners earn a digital token, which can be stacked to earn a badge. Digital badges can then be stacked to earn a credential.
Microcredentials can take many forms, including intensive bootcamps, skill‑specific modules or expert‑led masterclasses. Regardless of format, each microcredential results in a digital credential that learners can share to highlight job‑ready skills.
