The primary purpose of the Office of Academic Affairs is to enhance and enrich the academic experiences of students and faculty at UNMC. To achieve this goal, we offer a variety of institutional services:
Academic Affiliation Agreement
The Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs oversees and coordinates all Academic Affiliation Agreements (signature authority).
The Office of Academic Services manages recruitment and appointments, processes promotion and tenure actions, handles retirements and more.
The Office of Community Engagement builds collaborations between UNMC, our student service learning community, and the communities we serve.
Created for educators by educators, ConnectED lets you type in a search term and access information just when you need it. Go to ConnectED.
UNMC's Diversity Initiative is run by a diversity council who works to create an environment of inclusion for students, faculty, patients and visitors.
The Education Council is the source of most of the campus-wide educational policies and procedures and is engaged in campus-wide strategic planning to guide the individual college strategic goals.
The McGoogan Library of Medicine provides timely access to print and electronic materials, develops applications of information technology and more.
The Ombuds Team of impartial, confidential consultants can help faculty, staff, and students resolve conflicts informally.
The Office of Institutional Research collects, maintains and disseminates data regarding UNMC students and faculty.
