Employees are invited to stop by the Sorrell Center between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. and the Durham Research Center between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. for free coffee, hot chocolate, fruit, yogurt, granola bars and cinnamon rolls. LiveGreen will be providing free mugs while supplies last.
There will also be giveaways, including UNMC hand sanitizer.
Throughout Spirit Week, faculty, staff and students are invited to use the Center for Healthy Living, including attending fitness classes. All you need is your UNMC ID.
Also throughout the week, if you are the first to spot one of 25 hidden icons in various campus buildings, you will win a free T-shirt. UNMC apparel is also available for sale at each Spirit Week event.
Upcoming activities during Spirit Week include:
Tuesday: Scavenger hunt and popcorn bar, 11 a.m. beginning at the ice rink. Email UNMC events to register a team for the event. Chicago Dawg House food truck will be on campus by the ice rink, accepting cash only.
Wednesday: Wellness Wednesday yoga and massages, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the ice rink. Yoga will begin at 11:30. Free water, fruit and koozies.
Thursday: Music, costume contest, pies and a photo booth, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., near the ice rink. The costume contest at 11:30 a.m. includes a chance to win two football tickets to Nebraska’s game against Michigan State. Nominated UNMC personalities will also be hit with pies — for a $1 entry, you could win a chance to “pie” the nominated person of your choice.

During Spirit Week, show your UNMC spirit with these shirts.
- Short-sleeve, heather grey T-shirts are $5;
- Long-sleeved, red T-shirts are $10.
Shirts will be on sale at each Spirit Week event; you also can donate $1 for a chance to pie your favorite nominees.
Shirts can be purchased with cash, checks or credit cards. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to wear the shirts during Spirit Week events, which run from Monday through Thursday.
