United Way, Day Five: Win Husker tickets!

As of 3 p.m. Thursday, UNMC:

  • Had donations of $64,700, 41 percent of the campaign goal of $156,000.
  • Had employee participation of 18 percent. Last year, there was 42 percent participation — that should be an easy number to break. Remember, using the UNMC eServ website to choose not to donate counts as participation!





At 4 p.m. today, the UNMC United Way committee will draw prize winners for the first week of the campaign.

This week’s prizes include:

  • Two Husker football tickets to the Oct. 5 game vs Illinois.
  • $50 gift card to Borsheim’s.
  • $25 gift card to Whole Foods.
  • $50 gift card to Target.
  • $25 gift card to Amazon.
  • $25 gift certificate to Jones Brothers Cupcakes.
  • $50 gift card to Nebraska Furniture Mart.

All participants in the United Way campaign are eligible for prizes. Remember, you do not have to make a donation in order to participate! Logging in to eServe and choosing not to make a donation also will ensure your entry in this week’s prize drawing.

Everyone who has participated before 4 p.m. today will be eligible for the drawing.

Community strong

For the ninth straight year, UNMC employees can pledge online through an efficient, secure system now using your UNMC eServ (formerly ESS) password. Paper pledge cards are available as well.

A "no-pledge" option is available online for employees who choose not to donate. If you're unable to contribute, you still are encouraged to access the website and submit the "no donation" response to be eligible for the prize drawings.

Employees can contribute to a host of United Way-supported area organizations or can contribute directly to the campaign, which helps support hundreds of health and human service programs across the Omaha-Council Bluffs-Bellevue area.

Pledge by 4 p.m. Friday to be eligible for the first weekly prize drawing, which will be held each Friday during the campaign. Among the prizes available during this year's drawings are tickets to three Nebraska football games.
