Rosemary Skrupa

Rosemary Skrupa, a former University of Nebraska Regent and supporter of UNMC, died Oct. 23. She was 83.

Skrupa enjoyed public service work and served as a member of the NU Board of Regents from 1989 through 2000. In addition to her law career, the Grand Island, Neb., native also worked with Credit Advisors, a credit counseling company she and her husband owned and operated.

“She was a great lady and regent, whose unconditional support for UNMC at the beginning of my deanship will always be remembered,” said UNMC Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D. “Her personal touch made a lasting impression on all of us.”

Survivors include her husband, Frank of Omaha; three children, Frank X. Skrupa, Eleanor “Sam” Hohman (David) and Carlo A. Skrupa (Lisa); and four grandchildren.
